Source: CJB Applied Technologies news release VALDOSTA, Ga., USA, -- CJB Applied Technologies, LLC, a member of CJB Companies, is celebrating 10 years of delivering product formulation innovation, process development expertise, and pilot plant services to start-up and multinational companies alike. As the company looks to the future, it is focused on elevating capabilities and services by tapping into the opportunities presented by advanced technologies, particularly as they pertain to delivering chemical and biological formulation innovation to additional markets. "We are excited for the future of CJB Applied Technologies," said Clinton Beeland, founder and CEO of CJB Companies. "We deployed a new leadership team in December 2024 that is infused with expertise in analytics and AI, a keen understanding of market priorities and developing customer relationships, and a deep knowledge of our current capabilities and customers. The business is poised to push the boundaries of how technology, digital advancements, and elevated services can add value for our current and future customers." In particular, the leadership team is exploring where it makes sense to deploy digital advancements and innovative technologies while leaning into the company's core values, or RITES, of respect, integrity, trust, excellence and stewardship to ensure they remain flexible to the needs of current and future customers. "We are evolving our approach to the market to meet the expanding needs of our customer base and at the same time gaining additional perspective into the needs of other formulation-based markets," explained Mitchell Tatar, general manager of CJB Applied Technologies and director of innovation for CJB Companies. "Some companies are looking for full-service formulation support so they don't need to invest in labs and equipment. Others are looking to supplement the capacity of their in-house R&D teams. Some may need help with data creation to meet EPA requirements. Others may want additional field trial or efficacy testing support. We are building our systems and capabilities to accommodate those varied needs." The recently formed sales team is offering customers flexibility in how projects are set up and managed. Agreements may be project-based, service-based or retainer-based. They also are facilitating connection and continuity of projects that are transitioning to CJB Industries for production. In addition to adaptations that directly address customer needs, CJB Applied Technologies is looking at ways to create synergies within their systems, from data management and analysis to process optimization and reporting. Meanwhile, the expanded technical team is comprised of formulation and analytical chemists, biologists, microbiologists and quality control technicians with expertise across agriculture, specialty, coatings, inks, personal care, industrial and other markets. They provide customers with a full suite of product development services and are backed by a state-of-the-art facility containing synthetic chemistry and Biosafety Level II bioconversion laboratories, an onsite greenhouse and three pilot plant systems. Beyond using the greenhouse for product performance testing on plants, the team can support testing needs of other industries by creating different environments within the greenhouse, such as using intense UV lights to mimic extreme environments that coating products may face. "We have come a long way over the past 10 years," Beeland reflected. "What started as one chemist operating from one lab and pilot plant out of a CJB Industries warehouse is now a diverse and focused team residing in its own state-of-the-art facility. Looking to the next 10 years, we are as committed as ever to our CJB RITES, which help steer us in our mission of advancing product innovation through chemical and biological expertise."
